Kim is employed as a Mine Closure and Tailings Group Consultant by Outback Ecology.  Kim joined Outback Ecology in 2008 and brings 20 years experience in the mining industry to the organisation.  Kim has a strong operational understanding from having worked as an on-site environmental manager/advisor across a range of mining operations (gold, base metals, iron ore and coal) throughout Australia.  Kim’s experience also encompasses environmental impact assessment, stakeholder and community consultation, coastal planning, preparation of statutory environmental reports, development of mine closure plans and tailings decommissioning plans.

Kim has worked in the environmental consluting sector for the past nine years and has played a key role in the development and leadership of the Outback Ecology Mine Closure Team.  Kims recent focus has been on building the capacity of the company to meet the industry compliance requirements with the June 2011 Western Australian Guidelines for Preparing Mine Closure Plans.
