Outback Ecology has been catering to the environmental needs of Australia's mining industry for over 20 years. Our in house flora team has substantial botanical experience in flora surveys and monitoring. As native flora is protected under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950, it is a requirement that projects within Western Australia comply with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. In addition there is a need to address Environmental Protection Authority Position Statement No. 3 : Terrestrial Biological Surveys as an element of Biodiversity Protection and Guidance statement No. 51: Terrestrial Flora and Vegetation Surveys for Environmental Impact Assessment in Western Australia.
